We were asked to develop a project of the house of a young family in a lot of land located near the city of Balcarce, meters away from National Route 226. The lot has a considerable slope and a line of sight to all the city and its surroundings.

We organized the house in three levels. The social level, at the same level of the vehicular access, is located in the highest part of the lot. It includes the pedestrian access, the backyard, the pool, the garage-barbecue area, the storage room, the living-dining room, the kitchen and the laundry room. We decided that the living room, dining room and kitchen, the most important rooms in the house, should work as a “great balcony”, a place from where people could look at the landscape. This referred us to something easy and light, so its finishing was made of white plaster and its entire perimeter had large wooden windows.

The bedrooms were located below the “panoramic balcony”, half-buried, with blunt walls made of reinforced concrete and stone, with controlled windows which ensure the natural lightening and air circulation of the rooms.

In a higher level, we placed the bay window destined to multiple uses and which was made with light materials.

The main yard works as a linking element between the access gallery, the garage-barbecue area and the pool with the social areas.

Every horizontal level was materialized differently, and so was the organization of its functions.
