We were asked to expand and remodel the support offices of a plant dedicated to the storage and sale of cereal.

The program required the addition, to the existing administrative area, of a sector of personal attention given by young agronomists to producers and clients, plus a management area with multiple offices, a meeting room and archive room. These three purposes required a full independence between each other, that is why we chose an H-shape scheme.

The central sector would be formed by the access hall and the personal attention cabinets. The left side, whose existing structure was remodeled, would maintain its original use and the right side would include the management area.

The main access to the plant was projected with a door canopy; it had to be really wide and inviting so we used transparent glasses and light floors, in contrast to the lateral sectors where we used shaded glasses and dark floors which allow the required privacy.

The building prior to the intervention had a morphology and a choice of materials that were respected so that the new building adequately combined with the old building.
